You don't have to make an account with Facebook and even if you did, you can turn sharing off in the options menu.

You can always view the lyrics with the apps inside Spotify. It appears that Spotify is merging the highest rated lyric app (musiXmatch) into the desktop app so, at least for me, it doesn't really make a difference. To install apps in Spotify, go to "App Finder" and under "Top Apps", you'll see that musiXmatch is the highest rated app, mainly because it offers lyrics. Click on it, and on the top right, you'll be able to add it to Spotify.

So they just added a "Lyrics" button? I've been using musicXmatch app for a long time, you just have to add it by going to the App Finder, not a big change but always nice to see   :P
