Good Desktop Speakers

Yummy_Rifle_107

Hey Guys,

I'm planning on buying some Desktops speakers. I already have some good Headphones, so i will use the speakers primarly for listening to music or when playing games with friends.

I've been looking at the Cerwin-Vega XD5 speakers, but i'm not sure if they are worth it. (maybe get the xD 8 aswell)

Do you have any recomendations for Speakers? I live in Switzerland and my budget is about 400 Fr (approximatly 435 USD, but our prices are way higher), maybe 500 if it's really worth it, but id like to stay under those 400.

Thanks in advance,

Yummy

Audioengine has very good 2.0 stereos

Harman kardon and bose for 2.1

7.1 surround.... Hard

5.1 surround ... Maybe

Idk 5.1 and 7.1 sry to say

But headfi and endgadget and digital trend and cnet shud have reviews

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

If you are from murica then the a5+ from audioengine is pretty much the best thing you can get under 350usd.

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.

Harmon Kardon SoundSticks III Wireless. An amazing 2.1 system. I own these speakers and have owned a pair of the SoundSticks III and SoundSticks II and they're brilliant. Very clear sound and punchy bass, so perfect for music and games.

I wouldn't recommend getting the audio engine because you will have to go through a reseller.

Sound: Custom one pros, Audioengine A5+ with S8 sub.
