Best X99 Motherboard? And Best DDR4 RAM for it? and best 2011-v3 Processor for Gaming?

Go to solution Solved by JustCallMeVlad,

RVE is a waste unless you plan on using LN2. I have a Gigabyte X99 SOC and the bios is complete garbage. I plan on ordering a X99 OC Formula soon. I'll go through your setup and post revisions. Give me a few

so i am looking for the best motherboard and best ram money isn't really a problem for me (i am not boasting) and i am finding the best processor for it but i can't find any, all i found is a 5960x better than the 5930k sometimes the 5930k better than the 5960x and sometimes the 4960x is better than both of those i am getting confused, the ram i am trying hard and researching about ddr4 and i can't seem to find any all i found is Corsair's LPX. i found the Asus Rampage V Extreme and it looks like its the best for me but i am not sure, so my color scheme would be red and black so it would be great if you would suggest that for me.

if your going to have any questions about my rig here it is.

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Kenzo/saved/Z7QBD3 (didn't buy it yet still asking questions that i am curious about)

if you have any suggestions for other parts thats not really about the questions im asking that would be great and helpful.

i5 4960k, here. X99 is meant for content creators/editors not gaming. Linus made a video, where 5960x might come in handy while gaming

Please, don't buy that build. It's a waste of money

Looks fairly solid all around. The case makes me sad, Phanteks Enthoo Primo is a much better option IMO, even the Pro. 1600w is extreme overkill, 1000w is arguably overkill for that build.

I'd say get an ASrock x99 WS.  Save some money, and buy instead of the ATH-M50's - get some Beyer DT880's for that open-y goodness :3  But in truth for that build - if you're just gaming the 5820k should be fine, unless you plan to add a third card in the future and want the most lanes for each card(which has been debunked a bit).

Edit:  Money saved on Mobo can go toward the headphone set-up.  Gotta have that amazin' headphoney goodness!

i am going with a red/black build not really a big fan of blue, damn that headphones looks nice and looks like it would be a good one, does it have like gaming stuff surround sound? etc.

Unfortunately no gaming surround sound on them, but if you wanted you could use software.  Gaming surround sound is kind of not really relevant and is more of a gimmick than anything.  We've two ears, headphones have two drivers, and it's all about clean sound.  DT880's are some of the best around for their price.  Do some research on 'em!  And yeah, Red and black build--Asrock fatality x99.  May not be a deep red, but still the same features, 12k caps, and solid board.  I do have to bounce out for a bit, but - yeah, man.  Look in to those DT880's!  Definitely offers a better open-stage than the narrow-ish sound of the M50's, and with accented, crisp, and clean sound in the bass and treble!
