[US] (Tigerdirect) 20$ 120GB Ssd (after rebate)

mightytech

All I'm seeing is $70 with $20 off, not $20 base price. Or am I missing something.

Not sure if I'm being blind, but I can't see anything for a rebate. Just shows up as $69.99 for me.

Also, full link for people not on mobile http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9160976&MobileOptOut=1

Just a quick note, because they've had other great "bundle" deals like this before with rebate requirements that are not fun.

How to Qualify for your McAfee Rebate:

1. Purchase a qualifying McAfee product listed below from TigerDirect between 11/23/2014 and 12/03/2014.

2. To qualify for this rebate you must:

• Install McAfee Multi Access. (Instructions Below in Special Instructions)

• Enroll in the Auto Renewal feature. (Valid credit card required)

• Stay enrolled in the auto renewal feature for the first 10 months of the subscription.

NOTE: By redeeming this rebate you are agreeing to Activate and Install McAfee Multi Access, and to enroll in the Auto Renewal feature. You may opt out of theAuto Renewal any time after the 10th month of your 1 year subscription term.

Good to know. I don't like tigerdirect either I've had many bad experiences and won't order from them ever.

I have done this exact rebate before. Yes, you have to sign up to use the Virus, submit a credit/debit card and set up auto renewal but i used a debit card "I have cancelled that bank now" and you may be able to use an old American Express card as well. Because there is no money there, they will send you an email and with that email, it will remind you to cancel the subscription. Also, I activated my Virus in a virtual machine as I only have one computer.

WARNING: If you attempt to do one of these rebates (i had a similar one from a tiger direct bundle as well), they will often not give you the rebate. I checked and there were many complaints online for the same reason. They usually bundle something you want (the ssd) with some software you don't want, but to get the rebate you have to sign up for the software with your credit card, prove it is activated, send in the rebate, get the rebate back, and then deactivate the software before you get charged. Even though I did all those steps I never got my $60 rebate so it was just a waste and I could've gotten a cheaper one elsewhere without all the hassle.

This. Tiger direct is one of the worst major sites at this.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

That amazing price is the only reason I'd ever buy an OCZ ssd.
