Can someone recommend me some good pc speakers?

frozened

My "ancient" Dell Altec Lansing A215 finally died after 8+ years, so I need to get a new set of speakers. I've been going through lots of forums (not just this one), and most people said to stay away from logitech.

I mainly use the speakers for gaming and movies. I don't have a lot of desktop space, so I would prefer small to mid sized speakers. My budget is around $120. I could stretch it to $150 if it's really worth it. I'm from Canada.

I had my eyes on these:

Edifier S330D - $110 (On sale) http://www.computers-canada.ca/store/products/1027006423/S330D/EDIFIER/

Bose Companion 2 Series III - $110

Creative Lab Gigaworks 2.0 Speakers (T40) - $110 (On sale right now) http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/creative-lab-creative-gigaworks-2-0-speakers-t40-51mf1615aa002/10144694.aspx

Any chance of converting you to use headphones? Or do your neighbors like your music taste :P

Why would someone want to wear headphones while watching a movie...?

Thats so inconvenient.

Nope. 0% chance for me to get headphones.

I live in single house, so I don't think my neighbors can hear it even if I turn it up to max. lol

Could try to get a Klipsch Promedia 2.1

If only you had a bigger budget, would've recommended things like the Kanto Yumi/A5+, but I guess it may not fit on your desk.  A2+ are pretty small, but have some drawbacks to being small.  IMO 'computer speakers' are pretty piss poor at whatever price.
