Still has overshoot ghosting, older matte coating is terrible, and it has pwm dimming.

No shit sherlock. You realize dell has a new thin bezel 1920x1200 monitor coming out right? The asus is almost five years old. If you see the old grainy matte coatings they used, you'll quickly change your mind.

No DVI

Doesn't list refresh rate, although I'd assume 60hz

Not 1920 x 1200

Other than that, they seem to be almost exactly the same.

I do like the thin bezel on the edge though.

I wasn't aware, thanks for the heads up though.

I worry though, if I were to get a second monitor that has the thin bezel, how much would it drive me insane?

Also, that price. $300 < $500

The panel used in that particular model is very old indeed.

In the dark, probably not a lot. I'm ocd when it comes to thick ugly bezels though. You're better off seeing it in person.

To that I'd counter:

No DVI - Don't care. DisplayPort.

Doesn't list refresh rate, although I'd assume 60hz - As all are...

Not 1920 x 1200 - I personally couldn't give less of a fuck.

Yes, 60hz like most all IPS panels, however it handles gaming a lot better than the one you listed.

I could get that one, which seems to be exactly the same minus the bezel, but like I posted above, how much would that drive me insane not having two monitors that aren't bezel together, you know?

It has HDMI and mini display port instead of DVI which makes it far more versatile.

It supports MST

eBay. You can get them really cheap on there from time to time. New, of course. It'd only be about $100 more than your $300 budget, should easily be able to get more than that for your current monitor.

Also, you might want to check out Dell from time to time. I bet they'll go on sale around Black Friday.

I mean, what do I do, buy the same exact monitor that I'm already using, which is working fantastically by the way.

Or do I get the newever improved version, which is quite improved in a bunch of small area's.

I mean, I could try and sell my current monitor for like $200 and then I'd only lose about $100 tops, but that's only if I sell it.

Ugh.

Cant flash monitor BIOS without DVI :/ This isn't a common thing though, so I guess the minority who want this feature will have to look elsewhere
