wtf is console using?

Could I have some links? All the stuff I've got isn't relevant as they're just comparing CL9 vs CL7 on DDR3 in 1 game. Looking at some GDDR5 datasheets it can be as high as 16-28-26-40 or something.

Well I'd already mentioned they were GCN1.1, so has the trueaudio stuff.

True. The CPU would first need to copy it to the DDR3. It's still sort of a 4th level on die cache though.

I'm kind of just sticking to basics as OP really only asked if it's an APU or a CPU and dedicated GPU.

Anandtech probably have lots of good technical breakdowns. :)

Most what I'm reading is putting GDDR5 in the ball park of CL15 though there are slower ones.

http://www.redgamingtech.com/ps4-vs-xbox-one-gddr5-vs-ddr3-latency/

Down the page where they talk about the numbers and has DDR3 to GDDR5 going 8 vs 15.

But when multiplied by the frequency the latency is about the same.

Really don't think latency differences will really drag one system down or be the deciding factor for RAM performance. DDR2 was much faster latency wise than DDR3, but DDR3 didn't feel slow or impact performance. And again with DDR4 there is a increase over DDR3, but the frequency boosts keep it all in balance.

But yeah ok, shall keep things simple. :P

to the OP

They are both running customised APUs :)
