can you recommend some 'overkill' gaming cards?

We need a budget in order to recommend things m8 :P

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

You need to do more independent research to find out what goes into a PC.

no im not.

I'm reading about that site and it has very bad feedback about the parts, that are not working and so on, and to be honest I don't know who made you this offer, or told you to buy these items, but is the worst rig I ever came across. If you have a shop where you can buy and give me/us the link I would be glad to help.

You should not buy at that location. It looks like a 6 year old made that pricelist :P

I'd consider GTX750 Ti is the minimum for gaming. Anything less you're better just with the console. If you have the budget, go for the GTX970 or at least a R9 280.

Also, unless you do some serious video editing or 3D rendering. 8GB of ram is more than enough. Anything with 1600MHz, CL9(or CL10) is fine. Save some budget for other components.

You can start will just a HDD. However if you have the budget, get a small(e.g. 120GB) SSD for OS and programs. Use the HDD for storage. The system is much more responsive with SSD. 120GB SSD is not very expensive now.

Your list does not include CPU, lets start with that.

Then you are buying motherboard, that says GAMING, and GT 730, that is far from calling gaming card.

Give the budget, we will give you the parts.

Intel i7 2600 @ 4.2 Ghz | MSI Z77-GD55 | Crucial 16 GB DDR3 RAM 1600Mhz | Intel 330 SSD 180Gb | Western Digital Black 1Tb | Western Digital Green 2Tb | Gigabyte GTX 650 Ti | OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W | Thermaltake Commander MS-I case | OS X Yosemite | Dell Vostro 3550 Windows 10

Intel Xeon 1230 V2 | Gigabyte GA-H61M-S | Kingston 4Gb RAM 1333Mhz | Seagate 1TB  | Fractial Design Arc mini | Windows 10
