iVerge: Best smartphone you can buy (updated)

As title suggests today TheVerge updated their heavily criticised "Best smartphone, this is my next" episode from a few months ago in which the iPhone 5S came out as the best phone.  

 

 

 

Phones mentioned:

 

1. iPhone 6

2. Moto X (2014)

3. HTC One M8

4. LG G3

5. Nexus 5

6. Galaxy S5

7. Lumia Icon

 

Yet again they rank the iPhone 6 above everything else on the list, even saying the $350 Nexus 5 is 'more expensive' than it's $650 iPhone 6 rival. And yes, The Like:Dislike ratio is as expected...

So what changes would you have made? My Personal one is 1. Moto X 2014, 2. Nexus 5 and 3. Lumia 930, but that's just me.

The problem is the non tech people will actually trust sources like iverge, Fox news and many others. It's shameful what passes as news and what gets top reviews in any subject (phones, cars, headphones, electronics etc.) these days. This has to stop but there is no end in sight.

There's just simply no phone that is as good as the iPhones as a complete package for me (small usable screen, fast performance, accurate screen, good ecosystem)

Ya...I'm starting to not like The Verge as much as I use to...

 

As a side note, I don't get the hype around the Moto X, especially the original. When the original Moto X came, every tech reviewer and their mother had some kind of obsession with the phone. It was an under scec'd, overpriced phone. I just don't get it...

To be honest putting it above the lg G3 already makes the whole thing laughable ^^ the lg is better in almost every possible way specwise. Not to mention, I could buy a G2 (which is still one hell of a good phone) and use the spared money to buy an entry level mirrorless for that matter.

You can even buy a Nexus 5 or OnePlus One and get a DSLR with the price of an iPhone 6. (Only kit lens though)
