Wireless network card suggestions

Hello, its unfortunate that my router is all the way in the basement, therefore thats where my desktop is, but i want to add wireless functionality to my desktop, so what are some of the wireless cards/adapters that i can buy to enable my desktop to receive signals from my wireless router??

I was thinking of getting something like the Tp-link N900 but i dont know the products reputation and quality...

any suggestions???

I can't say about the TP-Link N900 since I don't own it; I have the N300 2T2R and it's been pretty great for me too so far. So far I can say they're pretty good.

I have the TP-Link N900 and so far it's been great I've had no issues with drivers, speed or range of signal.

If possible you are better off with a power-line kit which will be faster and more reliable.

ive tried power line before and it didn't work out for me, good to know that TP- Link is a reliable brand I'll pick a card up when it goes on sale...

Although when i was shopping online for network cards, there were many usb solutions, what would be the difference between a usb card and a PCIe card? is the performance the same?
