Installer (easiest way)

or the regular way (a little bit more complicated)
Wi-Fi only version: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Flo_Info

LTE version: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Deb_Info

So I have a Nexus 7. It runs out of battery pretty past IMO and would like to put Cyanogen mod on it for the battery and the customize ability. How would I do such a thing? 16 GB if that matters

I trip to make the fall shorter

Do it yourself, I've had way too many issues with CM installer. Note that CM won't do much to help with battery, if anything it will make battery drain worse.

Fastboot + ADB installer here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979

"best answer" didn't really provide much....
