Nothing responding in windows with my new ssd

I recently just got a new ssd (intel 530 120gb) and whenever I try do something in windows it does not respond.

Full spec?

Did you do a re-install? 

Did you change to AHCI mode in BIOS and Windows?

Full spec of the pc is:

cpu: amd fx 6300

gpu: amd r9 270

m/b: msi something 970 chipset

ssd: listed above

hdd: 2tb wd blue

os: windows 7

 

and yes i did a reinstall

Why did you get 530 ???

Could be a defective drive.Afterall it is a sandforce.
