AMD Dual Graphics

Go to solution Solved by Victor Golf,

Just go with a 6300 or, if the 8150 it is significantly cheaper get it.

They are both good budget CPU's. I have an 8150 with two of the cores disabled and I have not noticed a difference in the games I play.

I don't know much about the APU dual graphics thing, but I know that going with a discreet CPU + GPU combo will work better.

Hey guys,

I'm planning to build a somewhat budget gaming pc and I was wondering if whether or not the A10-7850K,7700k or 6700 and a R7 265 would do Dual Graphics or Crossfire

or I should just go with FX AMD FX 8-Core Black Edition FX-8150? If the APU+GPU works, which would you recommend?
Thanks guys :)

what is your budget?

FX 6300 and discrete GPU is better.

The APU is only useful if you don't need a GPU. Otherwise go for the FX6350 and R9 270x combo.

Quick question, let's say I buy a ASUS M5a97 R2.0. My case has 2 usb 3.0 but the mobo specs say

1 x USB 3.0 connector(s) support(s) additional 2 USB 3.0 port(s) (19-pin).

Can someone explain this to me? Thank you very much :)

it mean you can have more USB 3.0 ports if you use the USB 3.0 header and plug in the USB 3.0 cable from the casing

A USB 3.0 19-pin header provides two extra USB 3.0 ports.

Your computer case has two USB 3.0 ports at the front. If you plug the 19-pin cable from the case to the motherboard's 19-pin header, you get the extra USB 3.0 ports
