RMA i now. i have yet to have any issues anyway there's no major worry because of the long warranty the RM series comes with

Hi,

I recently purchased a RM 750 about 2 weeks ago and recently i noticed that there is a slight buzzing sound coming from the back of the psu. Audible only about 30~cm away. the sound persists even after shutdown and i have to either physically flip the off switch or unplug it from the wall. This sound wasn't present before.

Is this normal as its a rather faint buzzing sound. Not high pitched or anything.

Should I return it as i'm covered with a 30 day 1to1 exchange with my retailer.

If you are still in the 30 days I would return it, I have the same problems with my cx750.

Yeah thats coil whine, the sound of electricity my friend, weirdly its only the rm750 where ive heard of people having this issue. You cant do anything about it at all.maybe pad or listen to music to overpower it. Or get angry and hit it with a hammer.

@brownninja97 Thing is, I've used my Silverstone 850W ST85EF with my PC and heard no coil whine, but the AX760 frequently though occasionally produces it. I'll probably RMA when I feel like upgrading or switching to mITX.
