Well considering that looks like a pretty simple bracket that just screws down where the normal hold down does, it would make sense for "OC" boards to come with that option.

I dont think any motherboard vendor should endorse physical modification / alterations to any part. They should work closer with intel to eliminate the issue.

The idea is from a different perspective. They should delid it and BGA (soldering cpu to mb) it, more people would buy this since nobody dares to delid his cpu.

But if the CPU or MB where to die then the entire thing would have to be replaced.
