Corsair RM750

Go to solution Solved by Bloodyvalley,

No, SATA connectors are at the bottom right of every motherboard, closest it can be to the HDDs and SSDs.

If ever they do not reach, you can always buy a longer SATA cable. They come in different lengths. But do not worry OP.

hi guys, I'm building my first rig in a NZXT Phantom 530 case, and I was thinking about putting a Corsair RM750 in it ... But the question is: will the cables (SATA most of all) be able to get to all the components ? The case is pretty big so I'm a bit scared...

the build is:

CPU: i7490K

RAM: 16gigs of Kingston HyperX fury

GPU: Sapphire r9 390 nitro

Mobo: MSI Z97S Krait 1150

Storage: probably 2 HDD's (1 TB) and one 240gig SSD

thanks in advance ...

PS: does anyone know the difference between a boxed and tray version of a CPU ?

The cables shouldn't have any issue reaching.

The tray version of the cpu doesn't come with the stock cooler.

Should reach just fine. I have the same PSU in a H440 and there is plenty (almost too much) spare cable. See above for tray vs boxed. I've used both and had no problem. In fact, I got a real bargain with my tray CPU, so they are worth looking into.

i5 4690K | Asus Ranger VII | 8GB HyperX Fury | Asus GTX 780 | NZXT H440 | Samsung 850 Evo | Seagate Barracuda | Corsair RM 750W | Corsair H105

E3-1246 v3 | Asus Gryphon Z97 | 8GB HyperX Fury | MSI GTX 970 | Enthoo Evolv mATX | Samsung 840 Evo | WD Red | EVGA SuperNova GS 650W | NZXT Kracken x41

ok thanks, I think I'll go with the tray version because I will be putting a liquid cooler on the CPU...

then I think I'll buy the corsair RM750 then ....
