Asrock H110 Pro BTC+ For Gaming?

Go to solution Solved by GoldenLag,

The i3 8100 doesnt fit in the motherboard

Id suggest getting a r3 2200G/r3 1200 and a B450 PRO4 for about 160-170$ instead to used and sell the mobo you have.

Or iptionally look for someone selling a i5 7400/6400 second hand for cheap.

So my father dropped mining and he decided to give me his hardware .
How well do you think these parts will co-operate with this motherboard.
I know NOTHING about their architecture and i am a bit afraid of their stability and teamplay with the other parts:
gpu: 1050Ti
ram: 8gb
and he told me he had a pretty cheap but 800++watt PSU ( Sorry for not having the details, it will also be a surprise to me when i have them in my hands, im just to hype i need to know more about the mobo XD)
Also i'll just stick
a cpu: i3 8100
a ssd: Evo 860 250gb
What are the bads and the goods of this mobo i should take into consideration???? Will i stuggle with anything (during setup, or building)??? ( It may be my first build )

P.S.: I pray i know the brand of the PSU

its not the same Socket.

correction, it will fit, however it will never work. the pin-layout is different. it is LGA 1151 v2 that is for coffelake.

hmmm i get it , you saved my ass, now i checked the cpu support list. Damn the latest supported cpu is so bad compared to ryzen 2nd gen. I'll probably get an Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 and a Ryzen 3 2200g
