Laptop better than PC?

BlazingBlazey

I'm in shock right now. Currently, I own a gaming laptop and a gaming PC. Although the specs on my PC is better, my laptop is out performing the PC by miles.

~PC Specs (Custom):

- Intel i5 6500

- AsRock H270 Pro4

- Nvidia FE GTX 1070

- 16gb DDR4 Crucial Ram

- 1tb WD HHD + 480gb Inland SSD

~Laptop Specs (Omen 15-dc0051 nr):

- Intel i7 8750H

- Nvidia 1060 6gb

- 1tb HHD + 256 SSD

- 16gb Ram

I average about 180 fps on medium settings on my PC in CSGO, while my laptop is averaging 250-30 fps on high settings. Honestly, I'm clueless, if anyone has any idea what's going on, please help me out :P

I will update fps ranges or different games later on. Thanks!

at 1080p the focus is on the CPU. The i7 will be able to pump through more frames to the GPU. Thus ur getitng a higher max FPS.

however if u were to play a more graphical intensive game , the PC would be better as it has the better GPU.

CS:GO is a very cpu dependend game as far as fps goes as far as i know. i don't play it, but that's what i've heard...

You are correct, CSGO depends heavily on the CPU and especially in FullHD resolution only a really good CPU will get you to high framerates while the GPU is not so important in this game.

In the end it doesnt mater, 180 to 250 will only be of any concern if ur runing one of the few 240hz monitors out atm.

If ur running a 120 or 144hz monitor then both systems are fine

Since one system is a laptop im going to asume its likely ether 60z or 120 hz panel, so the fact it can do 250 fps is kinda irrelivant.

Thanks to everyone that commented and helped me out! I just went to microcenter and picked out an i5 8600k and an AsRock z370 Pro4.. I jumped from 150fps average on CSGO to 300fps average. Can't wait to see how much this baby can improve on other games :D
