Help me upgrade my System

rAYRYN
Go to solution Solved by Cereal5,

i7-4770 or 4790 (120-150 Euros)

A new PSU like thisthis, or this.

And finally an RX 580 like this one.

There are other 580s that aren't bright blue, but that is the cheapest 8GB model, and it's pretty good at that. All of those parts should run you anywhere from 350-400 Euros, and should last you a while to come at 1080p.

You can measure your RAM usage while playing games, and if you are running out, then I would recommend getting a 2x8GB kit or a 4x4 GB kit, so you have 16 instead of 8. However, you most likely don't need to upgrade your RAM.

Hello,

So my system is getting a bit old (but still runs fine) but I want to invest about 300-400€ (more if really recommended :D) in the near future to get a little or maybe a big boost.

Is there anything you would recommend switching (CPU,RAM etc.) or would you just say "Screw it! get a new system"? I was thinking about the RAM but I'm not sure. I play games most of the times (CSGO, WOW) which run fine but now with new games comming out it's getting kinda lame to turn down everything just do get some decent fps ^^

Here is my current system

Nope, that's the same card, just a different color. You should be able to find a cheaper one though, 250 seems a bit expensive... And yes, it will be good for plenty longer than a year. At the very least you should get a couple years out of it.

A 580 is about as high a card as you would want without running into bottlenecks unless you go for a 590. If you want to truly take advantage of your monitor you are going to have to upgrade your CPU,MOBO, and RAM as well as the graphics card. Kind of up to you because it would be disappointing if you want higher fps but you need to upgrade your already new graphics card to get it.

Did you read my full post or just the GPU? An i7 will not introduce a bottleneck

And OP, I meant you should be able to find a cheaper 580 new
