Fast Charger 3.0 and the adaptive fast charger, what is the difference?!

Hey guys.

So I need help, please.

 

I have the Samsung s8+ and Samsung Tab s3.

For both, I use the wall charger that came with it. 

"Samsung Travel Adapter with adaptive fast charger ". (output 9v - 1.67A  and 5v - 2A)

I would like to know if I will buy something like USB Car Charger with Quick Charge 3.0 , will it make any difference in charging the same devices, and will it damage them in some way?

I mean, I read somewhere that these devices do not support the fast 3.0 charge, so it can't be used with them. 

Same goes with the wall charger. 

Is it true?
