A friend of mine is replacing his behemoth of a PC case, the Rosewill throne. While it has tons of fans for good airflow (and acres of drive space he's not using), it's on the heavy/bulky side, and is also in bad shape. He's looking for a case to house his build:

https://pcpartpicker.com/b/67MZxr

It needs to house the large Rampage V Extreme, and have clearance for his CPU cooler (but I doubt that's an issue).

I had the Corsair Carbide series in mind because it looks real stylish, but I'd like to hear some suggestions.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

So an e-aTX motherboard, and large air cooler? Budget for the case?

Of these cases, the Enthoo Pro M TG and Corsair 400C stand out. There's also the Lancool One, which has better than you might expect airflow and proper spacing between the edge of the board and the cable management options, something some cases overlook like the P400 (which officially supports e-ATX cases 272mm/10.7" long, but the board covers about 60% of the natural rubber grommets)

Well, the case I recommended is only a mid tower case, this one is a full tower so it will be bigger. Mid towers aren't usually a big hassle, definitely worth looking into!

Older design, VERY large, (only 5" shorter than the Rosewill Throne) but at least it came with a lot of fans

The main problem with the throne is that it has all this plastic crap hanging off of it. That case looks like the throne without all the cheap adornments.

It's quite a large mid tower to fit a full EATX mobo. I'm definitely in the market for big cases, anything that's less bulky than the throne.

Interesting, PCPP says otherwise. Looking at the standoffs, however, it really does look like a clear fit.

In my experience, you should always go check the exact measurements and specs on the actual product website after a build on pc part picker. But glad I could help!
