CPU change in laptop

Hey, there I'm looking for more info about whether to upgrade CPU in my laptop HP or not. I5-2430M 2.4GHz currently sits in with 2.8GHz boost on basically nonstop at 80-85 degrees Celsius.

If upgrade then what will be the cost of new CPU approximately  ? will my lap cool that thing off ? or just take what i have and buy a new laptop later as i intend a longer time already.

Thanks for help.

Have you tried re-applying the thermal paste? Should help a lot.

Honestly if I was you I'd just start saving up for a new laptop, saves a lot of hassle.

Change to a slower CPU just for the temperature? Pretty bad idea imo, just get something new.

Then the best option probably is to buy a new laptop or build a new pc
