Hi all,

Are the only solutions on the market right now those strap on heatsinks or can we get waterblocks for these yet? Reason i ask is i've had a m.2 stick sat around for some time and want to move my OS to it etc but upon installing it etc I ran into this issue running a benchmark.

So in order to bring temps down I decided on placing a fan there for now, not the best looking but helps GPU sag a great deal!

Bid annoying... now i have a fan at 100% constantly to keep it under the 70c threshold, if only i could get a waterblock for it, i'd be a happy boy. Anyone else come up with a solution, lets have a look!

there are no real cooling solutions for this because there is no need for them either.

sure they run hot when you do synthetic benchmarks but that is not a real world scenario and will not cause any problems in normal use.

I really dont think 71c idle is a good temp for it to sit at then jump up to 90c or so while transferring files to it? I wouldn't let any other of my parts sit at that temp because i'm pretty sure something will fail at that temp constantly, i burnt my finger on it even lmao.

MSI Aero M.2 SSD PCIe Card may be??

passive cooling is enough and some comes with free heatsink eg adata

what programs are stressing out the ssd? can you check?

Transferring files and then the samsung magician program.

you idle temps seem to be more between 40 and 50 °C which would be normal and completely fine.

samsung officially specifies up to 70°C as the normal operating temperature and above this will start to throttle at some point.

45-50 is with a fan my dude.

Ah thanks, still passive ones, don't think waterblocks are available sadly :(
