If I were to remove the screws from the side panel and just have the side panel on without them would anything happen? Would it eventually fall off?(doubt it). 

Specs of my PC:

CPU: AMD FX 8350  Motherboard: Gigabyte 990XA UD3  GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce 2GB  HDD: WD Green 2TB SSD:  Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD RAM: Corsair 8GB(2X4) PSU: CoolerMaster G650M

unlessyou shake it around it want fall off but why would you do that?

So I dont have to usncrew the screws when Im taking off the side panel and then screw them back in when I put it back in. Yea, Im real lazy. #FirstWorldProblems

You Sir a really lazy. But no it fall off. (Yesterday i have build my first pc ever. I had a hard time getting the side panel of the R4 off. lol

Shouldn't be a problem because the panels are held with friction as well, if you didn't notice.

Well as other said, it's on there nicely but it's literally 5 second of work to unscrew those thumbscrews...

well, it really just deppend on what case you have. On some cases such as mine the sidepannels almost fall of without screws, they are really lose and really just look like they will fall of anny minute. Which will result in some noice. But if you have a case where screws aren't really nessesary, the screws kinda just hold the side pane from sliding of, then I guess it'll be fine. But also, the bast kind of screws to use on side panes are thumb screws, no screw driver needed.
