There is no one "Guide to Linux". The main problem with Linux is the different dialects, such as Debian, Suse, Red Hat etc. which means your command syntax can differ greatly for some general tasks.

I'd recommend just getting comfortable with your distro of choice and learning everything you can on that.

With Parrot being Debian based, you have an enormous library of information available as the most popular distros out there are Debian based (elementaryOS, Mint, Ubuntu etc.).

I recommend you do one thing at a time. Right now you're trying to learn "ethical hacking" and to use GNU/Linux at the same time.

It's like trying to run and cycle before you've even learned to walk.

Start with Ubuntu and just use it for a while.

Look up Bash scripting too, since that will be very useful.

i have worked with a few of em like i actaully installed arch linux but didn't understand anything from it so i let it go and a reason could be like i was'nt much comfertable in terminal . i have tried every distribution tbh and i feel like ubuntu is fine for me like im already aware of commands ..and syntax..so i'll go with ubuntu

Thank you for advice tho .

Well if you are interested in ethical hacking you wouldn't have issues on using network tools even if they are CLI (for both linux and windows) every program has its syntax and some of them even have GUI's and that is whole separate than "learning linux"

I also don't know what you mean by that, if you REALLY want to know how linux works, search for LFS Linux From Scratch. To use most of linux distros today for everyday work you wouldn't even need to learn the command line (most of the time)

Or you can take a course on operating system and write your own custom Linux kernel ?

No CLI needed. You just need a good C complier.

Sudo make me a sandwich

Want table of content - search for LPIC1 exam and you will have it. Basic stuff more or less and covers most of whats needed.

Look up how to use man pages, basically >man ls

Gives you info on ls command, all the keys it can have and similar with most of commands.
