1070 Running at 100% on Rainbow 6 Siege

HeyHerdy

Okay I'm on my editing rig and I thought I might try a game or two and I came across something strange...First all the specs

-1950x Thread Ripper

- GTX 1070

-32GB Ram

-X399 Aorus Gaming 7 motherboard

So playing Rainbow 6 I obviously have no problems at all, but my GPU is running at 100% CPU at 35%-40%. I reinstalled Nvidia driver with no improvement, I just don't know what to do.

I usually don't find it odd for it to run at max usage, as it will always try to pump out as much FPS as possible. If there is another GPU intensive task it will just turn down the usage on RS6. What settings are you at anyways?

I don't get why this is a bad thing

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Most games will only use a couple of threads, so with a Threadripper you wouldn't expect a whole lot of usage.  A GPU running at 100% in games is totally normal.

sometimes you can get a gpu to read 100% just dragging a video window around , it's not a very accurate gauge
