As far as I can tell the non-Type R is not fully programmable.

All the keys can't be remap at all?

Should I go with V60 TypeR MX Red or the normal V60 Gateron Yellow? Since this will be my 1st time to get enthusiast mechanical keyboard, I'm not too confident to spend more money to get the keycaps to replace the stock ones, at least not in the near future, I might swap them later when I'm ready to dip myself deeper into this new thing..

My system specs:

That I'm not sure about. If you look at https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Keyboard-Matias-linear-switches/dp/B00YL0D09S it looks like it uses dip switches on the bottom to alter the functionality. This is a very limited method of customization.

I'd get the Type-R myself. If you really like those all black keycaps those are called 'side print' you can get them for around $35: https://www.1upkeyboards.com/shop/keycaps/pbt-keycap-set-standard-layout-60/

Imo, I wouldn't get the Mx Reds, for me they feel super grainy and a bit too light. The Gateron yellows (50gf) feel very smooth and is a bit heavier.
