Would this make Skylake/Kaby lake Worth it?

Ever since coffee lake launched, there has been absolutely no reason to but 6th and 7th gen CPUs new from retailers. Even used prices for things like the 7700k are ridiculous (usually twice the price of the 7700, w h y). But I saw this in my feed:

Do you guys think if all 200 and 100 series chipset were priced this way that suddenly it would make more sense to get the last gen chips?

The main problem right now is that a Z170 motherboard and a 7700k costs more than a Z370 board and an 8600k, which is better (6700k is in a similar position). However, the 7700k isn't suddenly a bad CPU, it's just overpriced now.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

You would need a 300 series board if you want to use the 8600K.
