Any Downgrade of Quality

Downgrade is always present, but it should be completely unnoticeable.

I just got a new pair of M-Audio AV40's and the RCA to 3.5 audio jack was to short so I got a female to male 3.5 jack so it can connect to my computer. I was wondering if the extra connector is going to have any interference with the quality of sound that is produced?
