You can leave the setting in bios to 512 MB or whatever is small there. The video card driver will dynamically take as needed from the whole memory set, so whether you have set in bios 512 MB or 2 GB, you get the same fps and all that.

If the game is happy with the amount of VRAM allocated to the iGPU.

As much as it needs to use, but you shouldn't have to allocate anything to it, in most cases just leave it at the default of 64MB since it will just take as much as it needs.

All that matters is how fast you can get your RAM to run.

No need to do that unless the game actively stops you from applying settings that (it thinks) will break the VRAM buffer. GTA IV for example
