Looking for new USB DAC/Sound Card. onboard one is breaking.

deathmaker06

Hi just wanting to know the best bang for the buck I can get for 50-70 USD. The main reason why I'm looking to get one is because the DSP/Caps/???Alien is giving off static on my mic vent and Skype calls. Otherwise the audio output is still very clear.

Features I am looking for is active noise cancellation or isolation which I found very very helpful cause on the side of my computer I do have a GX900ES which I do use while playing LoL and on Vent. From what they've told me they've heard nothing even when I have the amp pushed fairly high so I do want to at least retain that.

2nd hand mic:salar m6(maybe i'll get a new one of these as well)

Mobo: MS-7752 sound card onboard Realtek® ALC892.

*Static* "This is your captain speaking we're having issues with the mic" :P

You lose the volume dial with this dac but its more budget oriented.http://www.amazon.co.uk/FiiO-Coaxial-Decoder-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B005JXGQTC

failing that maybe put your money into a USB mic like the snowball and then save up for a better sound source later. (assuming the output on your mobo is still fine)

EDIT: apparently the mic is called a snowflake,  whatever you know what I mean B)

Another option would be something like this http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Soundblaster-Surround-System-SB1095/dp/B0044DEDCA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1389002084&sr=8-1&keywords=creative+x-fi That has all the connectivity you need and comes with a few more bells and whistles.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

I would prefer something much like this since I would much prefer to connect my GX900ES to it as well via RCA or a 2nd 3.5.

Also is this any good? found it while browsing amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Syba-Stereo-Headphone-Amplifier-SD-DAC63057/dp/B009WN7QT4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1388999171&sr=8-4&keywords=usb+dac

I cannot find a review for the life of me, good or bad. Actually one dude on head-fi gave it a 4/5 but not much comment.

If you were to get one, Id get the creative, it's only $5 more.

However how do you now it's your onboard that's shagged and not the mic?  Have you tried it somewhere else?  I am assuming it worked fine before and has been degrading over time.

I tested it with a usb dac I got with my soundblaster tatic3D sigma headset. Ditched that usb dac though cause it had a few issues with the voice isolation where unless u were literally screaming into the mic it wouldn't pick up too well.

Was wondering though, wouldn't it be ok if I just got Xonar DG despite all the interference the mobo and psu may give off?
