What cpu shod i upgrade to

I have a intel pentium g4600 with a rx 560 2gb oc,8gb ddr4 2133mhz.

And i need a chep 4 core cpu cuz i want to play 720,1080p high settings.

if you want to play at those setting you techincally need a better GPU instead of a better CPU, though a better CPU wont hurt. 

 

what PSU do you have?

what motherboard do you have?

what is your budget for this upgrade?

location?

what games?

How cheap we're talking ? Does a i5 7600 out of your budget ?
What is your PSU ?
Does your motherboard supports unlocked CPUs ?

What's you motherboard?

 

Is it a 100 or 200 series motherboard?

I have a 600w psu and my mobo is a gigabyte GA-B250M-D3H my buget around 100$ to 180$

Why not get a used i7? Either 6th gen or 7th gen.
