Help with Fallout 4

ZoX 2.0
Go to solution Solved by Acid Panda,

if you crashing its likely you have a conflict with some of the mods.

also if you running some sketch parts then it might be that the usage of ram is too much for the system so results in a crash.

more mods use more ram and 8gb i believe is the advised amount so if you passed that then problems can occur.

see if you can also alloate more ram to the game it might help with the overhead

If I set my graphics preset higher then low, my game crashes, also I am running mods, last week it'd just run fine at high

SPECS:

GTX 1050 Ti

i5-7400

unknown ram, 1x8GB

*out of my head* a 450W PSU

Is it crashing when you adjust the settings? Does it work after restarting the game?

if you are using nexus un-check all mods off and try that Bethesda games sometimes don't like to change settings with mods active

if at first you don't break it you must have followed the directions

are you using the older nexus mod manager or the new vortex? or just manually installing the mods?

click on the plugins tab and un-check the plugins that will keep fallout 4 from loading them. try upping the graphics then.
