you can turn your PC off and look, not a bad idea. Snap a photo so we can confirm for you.

Yes, there are different power pins for CPU and GPU. They make sure to design them differently so you don't accidentally use them wrong, but some people have managed to force the pins in the wrong holes, which is a system killer. We'll make sure you know what you're getting into

The XFX power supply was the £12? you can probably use it just fine but don't expect much.

NONONONOON

MY pc CAME with the £12 one a shit unbranded hting

i bought this xfx one for uhhhhh XD only £40 or £45 or £35 idk somthing LEK that XD

Ah that's much better

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

@fasauceome - is on point with everything he is saying

And what I means is - I call it 12v rail, 6 pin PSU cable, GPU power cable - all the same thing

If your PC Is on and you see another 6 pin rail you are fine as the one required for your mobo is already plugged in (usually top left of the mobo) but as mentioned make sure the holes all look like they are supposed to line up.

Everyones concern about the PSU is legit, however you are clearly on a budget so using what you have works too - Ive never had a PSU go out and have it take other parts with it.  Systems are so good at being redundant about shutting down before major malfunctions that its just rare imho (but if it happens to you that sucks!!!)

Personally I'd rather have some insight beforehand so that it doesn't die and take something else with it.

You and me both brother, I used to be quite budgeted and come from the land of old crappy PSU's when I was younger so I just avoid telling people to replace stuff even though technically they really need to lol - because it can work, and it does have a higher probability of failure BUT its a risk and I still drive on the hwy surrounded by morons so...not so much a risk LOL

Not quite, since there can be multiple or single 12V rails, and they're a specific thing inside the power supply as opposed to the power cables themselves. Still, good to know what voltages go where.

Yup, just trying to simplify it for the OP (seems to be high on life and not passing that bad boy around lololol)

The one that says PCIe will power a 1060. You're officially good to go!

Here's a little visualization of where you'll put it:

Your GTX 1050 is sticking out of your motherboard right now. On the side of the graphics card that is furthest from the motherboard, on the right hand side of that edge, is where you'll find the power connector. Your 1050 probably has a spot where one would even go, check out that corner of the graphics card for a 2 by 3 assortment of holes.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Yeah, not all power supplies are made for multi GPU or large power draw GPU.
