Hey everyone!

I'm planning to upgrade my current setup since I'm leaning towards 1440p gaming and I'm also noticing a lot of lag (CPU reaches 100% lol) when I'm doing some 3D (Zbrush) while watching videos on my other monitor (720p resolution only ?)

Here's my current build:

CPU: i5-6600K

Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Aura

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 3200

GPU: Asus Strix GTX 1060

Cooling: Noctua NH-D15

PSU: Seasonic M12II-620 EVO 80Plus

Displays: Acer Predator XB271HU and an old 720p samsung monitor

I think my CPU is the bottleneck when I'm doing 3D stuffs that's why I'm planning to upgrade it first and my mobo to i7-8700K or 8086K and Asus Maximus X Hero then I'll proceed to changing my GPU to 1080 (since there's no available 1080 in our local stores atm and I think the cpu will still be the bottleneck if ever I'll upgrade the gpu first) and maybe add another Predator monitor ?

Just wondering if I'm upgrading the right component first or if there will be issues with other parts etc.

Let me know if you have suggestions about this.

there should be no issues but if you are going to be 3d modeling a amd ryzen cpu might be better since those have more cores and are great for the money aswell.

Current build: Ryzen 7 1700x, asus prime x370-pro, 16gb gskill trident z rgb, asus rog strix gtx 1070 ti, corsair rm650x, nzxt s340 elite, samsung 840 pro 256gb, 1.5tb hdd.
