Ideal dpi

What do you guys use as your general dpi settings at say 1920x1200 for gaming?

3000dpi. Though the max is 8200dpi. I'm used to it having my hand move very less nowadays due to the fast paced action MMORPG needs 360° rotation.

I use 2200dpi or 2700dpi depending on the game, using a g500

Yeah, I just set the DPI to max and turn down system/game sensitivity.

I game perfectly fine with a 1000dpi with my 1920x1200 dpi. I already played with high DPI mouse, like 1600dpi.. didn't see much difference.

But in reality it depends on what feel do you want... do you want long travel or short travel to move your mouse across the screen.

Hell yeah, If it's every version of Assassin's Creed, I'll push them up around 5000~6000dpi. Many complaints there's no mouse sensitivity options on certain version of the game. If I'm not wrong, there's mouse sensitivity on ACIII. I'll check them as soon as I come back from work later.

Setting the built-in MMORPG mouse sensitivity settings on 15 and 8200dpi on my mouse. The cursor went horrible moves when a slight touch on the mouse but the movement rotating the character in-game is just like my old 800dpi optical mouse w/ 100 mouse sensitivity in-game but slightly sensitive. :D

800 and 1800 would be my general use because 3600 on my ikari gets annoying when im int he main menu and when im playing some games the sensitivity cant go lower then 1 so i have to change my mouse sensitivity instead

Officially using 5000dpi at 1920x1080 resolution, seems normal using 5000 when surfing websites. Though I still need practice using them especially focusing targets on cannons or rifles. Trying not to use sniping mode to reduce the dpi :D

I've always used 5700 on my G500, and I actually never noticed till I was setting up my new naos 8200. I thought I was in the 3200 range, but once I checked I was shocked, lol. Been gaming like that for 7ish months no problem.

I've got a Sensi and I used to use 1600, recently I've bumped it up to 1800.

Func MS-3. Depends what I'm doing.

If I'm commanding in Natural Selection 2, I go 5200.

If I'm playing Skulk, I go 1600.

When I'm playing Lerk I go 800.

Instant aim button is set to 160.

However this is all relative to my sens setting in the game, so it's all apples and bananas to you guys.

LOL I use 600DPI on my HUGE ASS XFX WARPAD

I play FPS so I prefer using the lower DPI for accuracy, although I change it to 1800 for strategy games

I used to use 400dpi but lately have been using 800 all the time. I play loads of Counter Strike and usually just set sens in game.

Update, currently using my new settings :

DPI : 6000

Polling/report rate : 1000Hz

Acceleration (Enhance Pointer Precision) : Off

Bumped my DPI up to 2400 at 1080p, will try higher later on! Slowly getting used to it

If you're comfortable where you're at, don't go higher. There seems to be this weird notion that you should try and use as high a DPI as possible...I tried doing the same thing a few years ago and I have no idea why. It makes no sense. It's probably the people who force themselves to encur ungodly amounts of DPI that find they need "sniping buttons" just to shoot straight.

 

If you can do multiple 360s with a pivot of the wrist, your DPI's probably too high. In fact, it's probably best to have it as low as possible without it being a hinderance. After that, it's all down to the sensor and muscle memory.

For me it matters on the game for general use i am @1600

but some game setting are 

BF3 @ 1200

BioShock Infinite @ 800

Dead Island Riptide @ 1600

 

so yeah depends what game i am playing for me :)

I play at 1920x1080 and set my cpi to 3080 and turn the sensitivity down when in game. I don't really thing that there is a best dpi/cpi out there its more of a personal preference.
