Time for upgrade "Closed Headphones"

Vague

So i am looking for some closed headphones for travelling ect. I have been looking at a couple of headphones, COPs, Shure SRH440 with 840 pads, Denon AH-D600 and Sony Prestige MDR-1R. Would be open to other suggestions but please don't suggest Audio-Technica ATH-M50, they seem to be over rated. So budget would be £200.

Sennheiser HD558? Beyerdynamic custom one pro? AKG K550 (which I can vouch for, may be a bit trebly for your tastes)

Sennheiser HD 558's are open. I have been looking at the COPs and seen some people say the k550's aren't that great.

My bad, missed the closed bit at the beginning. The K550s are far better if you're in England. When I bought them, they were half the price you could get them in America.

Awesome :) What are people saying is bad about them? They're better built and more comfy and sound better than my ATH M50s.

I have Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro's and i am sure the DT770 is very similar to them, also they don't look to good for portable use.

You see i know you would of posted that but i don't think £200 pound is worth it when they're $90 or something like that.

Why does every European say that?

Prices fluctuate, and they were $90 on sale - currently $170

All the headphones you were thinking about in the OP are supposedly good, I just haven't tried any of them myself to pick a winner.

I think i am going to go with either the Shure SRH440 with 840 pads or the COPs.

I would go for with ever of your two end choices is cheaper.

I've seen you recommend the Shure SRH440 before, what are they like in terms of comfort and audio quality?

There's a £135.00 + £5.61 UK delivery option, I'd go with that one instead.

Saw that but i was sceptical because they only have 12 ratings compared to 2,000+.

Should be noted that I've only worn the 440's for about 10 mikes. But for that time they were comfortable  and sounded warm but flat in general. Kinda like M50's only better.

t0wer has a pair and a review that can be found in his signature and is a better source of information then myself.
