How to add a new user/managed user to Plex through command line

Hello! I co-own a Plex server with my friend but he is the only one with the Admin account to add new users through the Plex Web App. Is there any way I can add new users/managed users to the Plex server through the command line? I have very little Linux knowledge so I'm afraid any advice would have to be explained greatly. I need this for when he is offline and I want to give my friends access to it. Thanks

 

Btw the server is remote and our only way to access it is through SSH.

why don't you guys share the admin user? not sure why you are even bothering with that... Then add a managed user with a pin you set. Or have him add a managed user for your use sharing with others? Having used plex a lot, it seems more like you want to circumvent his control instead, which without full context, I don't think we should be helping with.

The admin user is his personal account because he set it up because I don't know how to. And I don't know if it's changeable.

So ask him to add another user that you can then modify from. It's easy enough to do within the plex application.
