GTX 970 power requirements

So I'm planning on getting a second hand GTX 970 as it looks like a really good card, the only problem is that my PSU doesn't have any graphics card power cables. I have a 500w PSU which came with a cheap case that I found on eBay. I hate the power supply it gets too hot whenever I play Fortnite on the lowest settings when on my previous marching which had the exact same specs it wouldn't even heat up. Is there any way around buying a new power supply and buying any molex adapter.

Nah you prolly have to buy a new PSU, if it overheats you kinda should anyway (there are some pretty cheap ones that can run a 970 )

Probably not.  500W is enough for the 970, but if it is overheating already, you should replace it.

You can find a good second hand PSU on eBay! I bought a 700w Antec and it works great in my test rig!

I don't feel safe getting a pre owned power supply. Do you know of any main brand cheap 500-650w psu's which have multiple 6 pin power cables

25 dollar EVGA BQ power supply ought to do the trick on a budget

You could look at EVGA's B stock PSUs on their site.

This is a list of all PSU's that will be compatible. If you can spend the $45 get the Corsair CX450.
