You can't upgrade to that memory. Your board supports DDR2, up to 8GB (4x2GB) and the memory you're referring to is DDR3. You'll need a new board, which is not worth it for this old of a system. Just get another 2x2 kit of DDR2 RAM and call it a day until you can upgrade to something more modern.

as you said, its 10 years ago, running ddr2, (new sys uses ddr4).....

if ram really bothers you, just get 1x 8gb for very cheap.

let it go and salvage the hdd, case& gpu only for new build

Wait, does this only have 2 slots?

I want to max it out. Where do I find 8Gb 1333 stick?

This system doesn't support 8GB sticks. DDR2 only goes up to 4GB for desktop RAM, and those are super expensive.

You can't. Please read my post. You can't use DDR3 with that board, only DDR2. The best you can get is 4x4GB but that'll cost you at least $200 since 4GB DIMMs are rare. The best you can do on the cheap is buy 2 more DDR2-667 2GB DIMMs.

You can get some super cheapo prebuilt refurbished dell optiplex on amazon, find one with an SSD if possible or add an SSD yourself for only around $25.

That might be a better and cheaper way to "upgrade"
