Fast charge not... Fast charging

Would there be any reason a fast charging charges at a slow rate? I use an anker one in my car, to charge my G6, and the phone detects it's charging fast but it barely charges any. 

 

I'm using quality cords, what could be the issue?

it could be the usb port of your phone, I would get an "USB power meter"

you plugged it into the car? Maybe that's limiting power.

I've got an Anker battery bank that advertises a "faster" charge - meaning it will do 5v at up to 3A, depending on the device it's connected to. But true fast charging (at least what I've seen using my Moto's power brick) uses a combination of higher volts & adjustable amps. Think mine can do up to 9v at 2-3A. 

Double check the output listings on your power device.
