Hello lovely LTT community!

Today I maybe did something I shouldn't..

I tried to improve my timing on my memory (G.Skill TridentZ 2x8GB 3200MHz CL14).

Now my main board only shows a yellow/orange led meaning something is wrong with my memory. I tried CMOS reset by pulling out the battery but didn't work. I tried other RAM Sticks but with those it also doesn't boot up...

I hope and pray someone can help me there ?

do you have a reset button on your case? try holding it down

i've dealt with a computer that refused to boot after applying the wrong setting in BIOS, resetting CMOS did nothing.. but holding the reset button fixed it.. go figure.

I tried this as well.. the LED's just blink for a second but nothing happens. Even if I hold it for a minute

Okay finally it boots again! My mistake was that I was thinking a CMOS reset is done by just removing the battery... but now I used a screwdriver to connect? Shorten? Don't know how to call that bit works now ? thanks again!
