where to download Doom?

to avoid confusion.. i mean the original.. not Doom 2016. the actual original. i have an emulator for it on my phone, but where can i get it on my computer? i’m pretty sure a game as old as that will run perfectly. but how can i get it? i absolutely love this game and i miss it ? phone version sucks tho lol

I was able to find a full working version of Doom 64 Absolution for the PC a few years back...don't know if I can dig that up for you.

Had no issues working on Windows 7 / 8.

Full dos game all u need is the doom wad file.

 

Get brutal doom and gzdoom or Zandronum 

 

You good to go. Look on youtube how to run brutal doom.

You can download the first level or so and play that for free and legally because it was so caled "Shareware" at the time, where you shared a reduced copy and had to buy the complete/full product.

 

Just google "Doom Shareware Download".

 

To play it you need DOSBOX wich emulates a DOS PC...

Why would u get shareware when the full dos game is abandonware In my above post. Lol they dont make the dos version anymore and all u need is the doom wad file to play brutal doom mod/gzdoom/zandronum

You can compile from source on ID’s GitHub though idk of it has the assets. GOG also has the full collections.
