Need help with computer case

Hi! I need some help on which computer case to buy. I will be getting it from either Best Buy or Amazon. ****

 

Here is my build:

CPU: Intel® - Core i7-8700 Coffee Lake Six-Core 3.2 GHz Desktop Processor

Motherboard: ASUS - ROG STRIX H370-F GAMING (Socket LGA1151) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Intel Motherboard with LED Lighting 

GPU: NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition

Memory: CORSAIR - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2PK x 8GB) 2.6 GHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Memory Kit - Black 

CPU Cooler:  Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (RR-212E-20PK-R2) CPU Cooler with PWM Fan, Four Direct Contact Heat Pipes 

Power Supply: CORSAIR - RMx Series 750W ATX12V 2.4/EPS12V 2.92 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply - Black 

Storage 1: Samsung - 970 EVO 500GB Internal PCI Express 3.0 x4 (NVMe) Solid State Drive for Laptops with V-NAND Technology

Does it have to be from best buy? because their selection is terrible and pretty much all of them lack airflow.

This is the first/only one I saw that has some airflow.

If you can shop elsewhere just pick up a Fractal Focus G, Masterbox 5 Black, or Silverstone RL06 Pro

My personal recommendation is the Fractal Design Meschify C TG. It has great airflow. Isn't overly big for a mid tower at all. It's premium at a fair price. And the entire case is well thought out and is incredibly easy to build in. Of the 10+ cases I've had over the years it's my favorite yet.

 

Also if you'd like to go Micro ATX then there is a smaller version of it as well.

Can my motherboard fit on a Micro ATX? What is the difference between Micro ATX and regular ATX?

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. No not yet. I am setting up my parts so I can play COD BO4 next week.

And you're buying everything from best buy? Or is only part of your money coming from a $100 gift card or something?

Because you could get a way more reasonably priced PC to do what you need to do.

And you really don't need a 240hz monitor unless you're trying to be a pro gamer or something.

 

Few other issues with the build in general. Like you really don't need a 1TB SSD

Best Buy credit card and I have Amazon student prime.

I like to compete online at COD BO4 but go pro probably not. Though I am going to try to get really good at the game.

What would you suggest? I am open to suggestions.

Are you going to be able to pay the PC off without interest?

If you're trying to do game streaming pick up a Ryzen 7 8 core.

Vega 56 is finally down in price, get you a cheaper free-sync display Vs G-sync, and comes with free games atm.

They're basically the same, free-sync just uses the open adaptive sync standard, G-sync requires a module which is why all of the monitors are more expensive. Nvidia could support free-sync at any point like they do in their laptops, but they hate freedom so they won't support it just yet.

 

It's really not as useful at 144hz though compared to 60hz. You're less likely to notice screen tearing at higher resolutions.

The motherboard you have chosen in your parts list is ATX, micro ATX motherboards are smaller but with the current stuff you really don't lose much functionality at all. If you want a more com[act build the micro ATX is a good option. All the other hardware chosen is compatible.

 

Although as mentioned by others there is a lot of overkill parts chosen for the build.
