HS50 Mic not showing up

I bought a Corsair HS50 and it has worked fine using the Y splitter on my desktop.

However, The mic is not detected on my laptop, using the the combo jack in the side. I still get audio from the headphones, though. I have tried finding drivers, and there are none. I can't really use any other setup methods because the thing isn't detected in the first place. Help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Now it's not playing out of the ear cups either wtf

EDIT 2: Alright got sound through the earcups but still no mic

Do you have a link to the y splitter which you got?

You might have gotten a 3 pin splitter which the headphone will work fine on, the microphone won't though (because that would require a 4 pin splitter).

I'm not using the splitter, as it splits the cable from one pin into two separate connectors to use with multiple jacks and my laptop has only one jack. The connector I am using does have 4 pins.
