Frame Drop

I have a 1080ti in my machine with a i7 3980x and 64gb RAM. I am trying to play GTA IV on triple screen (1080p 60hz)

 

I have the game settings on highest everything and Vsync off, I get around 190fps but it drops down to 30 when I move or look around. My CPU is sitting at 40% (I have 180 tabs open in chrome)

 

Is there any reason why I am getting this drop without using more of my gpu? Am I just underestimating the demand of a triple monitor setup?

GTA IV is unoptimized as it is a console port. You aren't going to get stable frame rates.

could be the CPU as its clearly the bottleneck of your System and GTA likes fast CPU´s, you can also see this clearly as the GPU is never at 100% load so it is not getting the draw calls fast enough from the CPU.

 

also close that fucking chrome tabs and dont tell me you need them, nobody has an overview over 180 tabs its just wasted resources, right click a tab and save all as a bookmark and you will realize you dont need more than maybe 20 of them.

last time i play, vanilla GTA4 is unoptimized pile of turds. try install some mods that help with the frame rates. i forgot what the mod name.
