Hard Drive Diagnosis Program

So I have a hard drive with some bad sectors, and I was wondering if there was a program I could find to write to a flash drive and boot from that can find and possibly fix them. Any help would be great, since it's killing me not knowing what's up with it.

Shoulda said this earlier, but there is no OS on the drive. Silly me. I was thinking something I could boot into, and sorta do a Memtest86 kind of thing with.

Your question is somewhat confusing me but, you could do a live cd/usb get what ever you want it put that on a second usb. :)

Just download Hirens and use the drive utilities.

The HDDregeneator program has done wonders for me in the past.

http://www.webupd8.org/2010/10/create-bootable-windows-7-usb-drive.html ??? may work did you try to extract the iso and select usb from bios that may be all u need to do. if its meant to boot just extract it to a blnk flash drive and give it a shot.

Windows has this built in. Just follow the guide on windows 7 forums on how to run checkdsk to recover bad sectors. I'm not sure what os you're running but I hope this applies. If it's one of the other machines in your signature, I believe the checkdsk utility is built into older versions of windows as well :)
