Your opinions on Raidmax?

Luke

Raidmax is just not a name i see pop up a lot. After browsing newegg i noticed a lot of their products.

Anyone here had any experiences with the brand?

Some products that stood out to me:

Cases:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156284

Power supply's:

It's not specifically the looks but the fact that they do look decent, have good reviews all around and are just priced better than mostly everything else.

Raidmax was a really big manufacturer of what we used to call pre-modded cases (at least on the Danish market) back in 2003-2005. After the whole pre-modded hype died out so did the availability of their cases, and I haven't seen much from them since.

I had raidmax viper at one point, very cheaply made.

I do have a raidmax power supply though, it hasn't giving me 1 problem, its been running strong for the last 11-12 months.

Their power supplies aren't regarded as good quality so to speak.

Yet they get great reviews. I can't vouch for them personally since i've never owned a raidmax product.

I have and it kept restarting the computer randomly. I switched it out with a different power supply and everything worked fine. Of course this was my experience.

Here is an article from the newegg forums that you should check out: http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx

Oh I guess I should add to my post that the cases they made back then could by no means be considered good quality. They worked and they looked "gamery", but that was about it. Cheap plastic etc.

I just bought one of their PSU's, havent even used it yet...

but my understanding is that they are one of the best as they are one of the big manufacturers that makes lots of PSU and some are branded as there own and others go off to be branded by other folks. Other people don't come to you to build lots of PSU's if you don't know what your doing.
