Blower style GPU OK?

Blower fans tend to be louder and not cool as well but the benefit is that the heat is mostly exhausted out of the case so your CPU and stuff doesn't get a ton of heat from your GPU. Overall though i would avoid blower style coolers and go for in case exhaust.

They will run a bit louder, what doesn't matter if you're gaming with headphones right? Your overclocking potential will be a little reduced since thermals are not as ideal but we're talking about pretty much meaningless performance difference.

 

Usually people exaggerate about this whole 'the best of the best' deal, if you'll save some good money going with the blower card it'll work pretty much the same as the more expensive variants having that 'issues' I said in mind.

If all you want is a 1080ti and dont care if it runs a bit hot, a bit loud, no good for overclocking and no good to look at, then yes the Turbo is fine buy. If you're willing to mod the cooler (aftermarket air cooling or liquid cooling), then the Turbo's also fine. Unless your case has bad airflow, there's no case that a blower is better than other cooling designs.

If it's significantly cheaper, I'd get a blower style card for sure.

It might be a little slower, or a slightly worse overclocker, but does that really matter that much?

As @Princess Cadence said, you probably wear headphones so any added noise is negligible.

Just get an fe. If you fell like it down the road, get a hybrid cooler and slap it on or an open air cooler.
